NC REGION 4-H VOLUNTEER FORUM Nebraska will be hosting the 2009 North Central Region 4-H Volunteer Forum October 1-4, 2009 in Lincoln. Over 500 4-H volunteers from a 12 state region will get together to learn, have fun and network. We hope 4-H volunteers from Nebraska will be involved in many ways. This will be an opportunity to attend a wonderful and fun educational experience.
In order to be successful, we need adult and youth 4-H volunteers providing leadership and decision making when planning the forum. Please visit http://4h.unl.edu/volunteers/ to review the Forum Planning Guide.
The UNL 4-H Youth Development office is also asking for area 4-H clubs to get involved by providing door prizes, small welcoming gifts and messages, etc. Contact Doug Swanson at 402-472-1762 or dswanson8@unl.edu Thank you for your consideration.

Operation Round Up is a voluntary program that does just what its name implies. Each month Niobrara Valley Electric simply "rounds up" the electric bills of participating members to the next highest dollar. Donations are tax deductible, and members are sent a summary of their yearly contributions each January or February. Participation in Operation Round Up is strictly voluntary. Through participation in Operation Round Up, the average contribution per customer is about 50 cents a month, or six dollars per year. Small change to the individual perhaps, but the thousands of dollars the program generates mean a big difference to the people in our service area. All Operation Round Up donations are placed in a trust and administered by an independent Board of Directors called the Niobrara Valley Electric Trust. The funds will be available to any person(s), family unit, group, organization, charity or like organization within the boundaries of Niobrara Valley Electric for charitable purposes. You or your club can apply to with a community service project idea. Application Form
